Lanvin's Alber Elbaz celebrated a decade at Lanvin fashion house and threw a post show party of champagne and glamour. At the show Elbaz presented elegant, spirited, desirable clothes including two-piece ensembles popping in vibrant green, purple a red colours. Dramatic skirts made an appearance along with an array of sculpted jackets. Dubai Dolls favourite was the black lace overlays and jewel-encrusted sleeves. High Street:
Our No.1 has to be ZARA. Weather you want sophistication, a casual look, edgy designs, the Spanish brand has all you can desire. With great prices along with brilliant quality, the store even caters to the quirky teenage market along with kids. We also love the look of their 2012 Winter Collection.

Our second high street choice is Pull and Bear. Also a Spanish retailer Pull and Bear focuses more on casual clothing, yet still keeping an urban edge "merging creativity and quality design". Their vintage look T-Shirts are great for the Dubai sun. (Available in Dubai Mall and Mall of The Emirates).

Boutiques:

Our favourite discovery is Jumeriah Boutique 'Bambah' who truly stand as the epitome of glamour.

Set in a beautiful villa housing a luxury vintage feel oozing old Hollywood glamour.

The dresses are our favourite items! Check out the store on Jumeriah Beach Road.

Also be sure to check out independent boutique 'S*uce'. The sassy, quirky store is located at Dubai Mall & The Village Mall and stocks a mix of designers.

Favourite of ours was English Designer Stella McCartney who invited her famous friends to a very special showing of her Winter 2012 Evening Wear collection in London's Mayfair.

Check out Rihanna in this sexy plunging green silk number with low back and thigh high slit.

Kate Moss also attended dressed to impress in a figure fitting illusion design.

Alexa Chung opted for a dark, daring look in a black bandeau column dress which she teamed with tousled hair and a great smokey eye.

Fendi Bracelets: Bohemian Style

Evening bloggers; their are some great looks appearing on the autumn/winter 2011-12 catwalks! After checking out vogue.com I discovered some great arm candy. What especially catched my eye was Fendi who are working the hippy-esque bracelets with multi-coloured stones. (Check them out on the left.) Fendi's funky bracelets are just the thing for winters Seventies trend. The bracelets come in neutral white and in fun brights. Layering the bracelets look great- even with other less expensive pieces of your own. Fendi also did geometric chain-link bracelets for their Spring/Summer collection.

When I saw these photo's of Karl Lagerfeld's Paris Bombay collection I couldn't help but share them- I love the pieces, their so beautiful!

Karl Lagerfeld's collection was steeped in an Indian aesthetic: pearl-beaded Nehru-collared jackets were layered over sari-draped dresses and slim leather churidar trousers, while ornate headpieces dipped diamonds between the models' heavily kohled eyes. The use of Bombay rather than Mumbai was deliberate: Lagerfeld's India is of an era where the glamour is imperial, rather than Bollywood. One of his references was a palace designed by the German architect Eckart Muthesius in the 1930s for the maharaja of Indore, which combined modernist furniture by Corbusier and Eileen Gray with traditional Indian pieces.

Not just the clothes but the beauty looks; Peter Philips, creative director of Chanel Makeup, used several of the Indian-inspired products, including a face powder and nail lacquer (Nail Colour in Diwali), but it was the Illusion Luminous Eyeshadow in Nirvana that made the biggest statement: the black-brown shadow circled eyes, merging into a thick triangle at the outer corners. In keeping with indian tradition, Philips further enhanced the look with a generous application of eyeliner. To prevent makeup from running add waterproof, silicone-based version- Chanel's eyeliner- and layered a black kajal (kohl) on top.

Being a big makeup lover myself, I collected some photographs from Fall's best beauty looks for the festive season's parties including Chanel's silvery smoky eyes and metallic shadows & Calvin Klein's statement neon eye makeup.

HOW TO DO A SMOKEY EYE

1. Apply a cream concealer over your eyelid to create a smooth base for your eyeshadow.

2. Use a pencil liner to trace your top lashline from the inner corner to the outer. Then, use the same pencil to dot between your lower lashes. Smudge both lashlines with a cotton swab or eyeliner brush.

3. sweep powder shadow (brown, grey) over your lid and into your crease blending the colour up and outward.

TIP: To prevent colour from fading and give your lids a more shimmery finish, pat a cream shadow or vaseline on your lid.

4. Dust a lights, neutral eyeshadow (ivory or a light goldy colour) over just your browbone.

5. Finish with two coats of black mascara.

‘Make sure skin is hydrated constantly. Try MAC Fix+ (Dhs81), which we use backstage – it’s a spray with cucumber, chamomile and green tea. You can carry it in your bag and spray it on any time, and you’ll feel the skin plump up when you do.’

‘Instead of lipstick, use lip liner over your whole lip. It will last all day and won’t come off, even if you’re out in the sun.’

‘Apply mascara on the bottom side of your top lashes first and give it 30 seconds to dry. This will cause them to naturally curl upwards. Then shimmy the brush carefully against your lower lashes for light coverage.’
